A 22 year old Dublin man is to be sentenced later today for killing Donegal journalist Eugene Moloney with a single blow to the neck.
Gary Burch of Kennington Close, Templeogue pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of the 55 year old on Camden Street on June 24th last year.
CCTV footage from Camden Street shows Gary Burch doing a celebratory dance after landing the fatal punch that killed journalist Eugene Moloney.
The trainee mechanic later told Gardai it was a moment of craziness and he said he didn’t try to help the 55 year old lying on the ground because he didn’t realise how seriously he had been injured.
Gary Burch has no previous convictions – he will be sentenced today.
