Donegal based Garda found guilty of sexual assault and harassment

A married Garda in his 30s has been found guilty of sexual assault and harassment of two female colleagues.
Garda Kevin Corby was yesterday found guilty at Letterkenny Circuit Court of two charges of harassment and one charge of sexual assault on dates between 2010 and 2011 in Donegal.
Corby was also found not guilty of four other sexual assault charges, while a further charge of sexual assault was struck out earlier in the trial.
Judge John O’Hagan stated he would not sentence the defendant until January.
He released Corby on continuing bail until a probation and welfare report could be drawn up along with the victim impact statements.
