Boxing – Bronze For Tyrone Mc Cullagh

Illies Golden Gloves Tyrone McCullagh had to settle for bronze at the European Championships on Friday in Moscow after losing his featherweight semi-final 10-3 against England’s Iain Weaver. Despite suffering a broken hand, The Derry fighter was level at 2-2 after the first round while Weaver managed the only point of the second round.  The Englishman dominated the final round to take the 10-3 verdict although McCullagh should be proud of his medal-winning achievement in his first major championship as a senior.
