Donegal County Manager Michael McLoone has promised to respond to issues raised in an internal audit report into the hiring of consultants to advise on how best to reform council services.
At yesterdays monthly meeting of the council members backed Mr Mc Loone, although a number did raise serious concerns, particularly on how money was allocated and spent.
Mr Mc Loone acknowledged that there are issues relating to expenses, budgetary overruns and how progress on change was communicated to members
However, Mr McLoone told Highland Radio News he still firmly believes the system that the council has backed and bought into has the potantial to resolve many issues in the public service :
