Strabane District Council are to hold an urgent meeting with Roads Service over the Bridge Street roadworks today.
There has been severe traffic disruption in the town this week because of the roadworks.
The entire “out of town” lane along Bridge Street has been closed to undertake public realm scheme works.
There is a one way system in place which has caused huge tailbacks. The roadworks are to be in place for the next 12 weeks.
A meeting is to take place today between councillors, Roads Service officials and senior reps from the contractors to thrash out the issues involved.
