Calls have been made for the speed limit to be reduced along the N56 road to Kilmacrennan.
Local elecion candidate John Watson says he has been contacted by a number of concerned parents who have children attending Illistrin National School.
He says parents are worried that an accident could happen at pick up or drop off times.
