Donegal South West Deputy Pearse Doherty has published the bill which he says will be used to scrap water charges if Sinn Fein gets into power.
However, the Water Services Repeal Bill cannot be moved in the Dail at present, because it has been ruled out of order by the Oireachtas Bills Office on the basis that it ‘involves the appropriation of revenue’.
Deputy Doherty says his party has already vowed to get rid of water charges in government, and this is how it will do it……………
