It’s still not clear if Donegal will give a resounding ‘Yes’ to the Marriage Equality Referendum. Final tallies suggest a 53/47 Yes majority in Donegal North East, but in Donegal South West, it’s too close to call, with a handful of votes in it.
Both constituencies have some boxes which were not tallied, and that will have an impact as the official count now gets underway. It shouldn’t be enough to make a significant difference in Donegal North East, but Donegal South West’s final declaration hinges on what comes from those untallied boxes.
