Police in the north have arrested a second person in connection with the murder of PSNI officer Ronan Kerr.
A 40 year old man was arrested when police stopped a car between Ballygawley and Omagh in Co Tyrone at around twenty past eight this morning.
He’s been taken to the Serious Crime Suite at Antrim Police Station and the car has been seized.
Meanwhile, the 26 year old man arrested in Scotland yesterday has been rearrested for the murder of the young police officer.
The new recruit was killed in a car bomb in Omagh on Saturday and was laid to rest in Co Tyrone yesterday.
On Tuesday evening, the PSNI seized guns and explosives at a garage in Coalisland in Co. Tyrone.
