There is renewed hope that road safety works in the vacinity of the Finn Valley college will be complete before the start of the next term.
Parents have complained of the dangers for pupils walking to and from the college given the current road conditions and and the lack of a proper pavement.
This week, Councillors were told that funding was in place and that work was due to start – however Councillor Frank McBrearty pushed for a date the work would actually be concluded.
While a specific date was not forthcoming, Councillor McBrearty says given the response he received,he is confident the work will be completed by September:
