Letterkenny Chamber president will lobby for better business environment

The newly elected President of Letterkenny Chamber says one of his key aims it to keep pressure on local TDs and councils to create the best environment for business here in the North West
John Watson of Watson Tool Hire replaces Patrick McGinley as he chamber’s President.
Mr. Watson said he was very much looking forward to his role in representing the business community of Letterkenny in 2012 descrining It is an honour to be nominated and elected as Chamber President.
He said that over the last number of years all businesses have had to diversify in order to survive the many challenges we have faced.
Mr Watson said he viewed his new role as a challenging one but also an excellent opportunity to work on behalf of Letterkenny businesses to ensure that we all get a better deal for Letterkenny and the North West and improve the business environment for all.
John Watson established Watson Hire in 2005. The business originally supplied the construction trade and was primarily a Hire Business but it has now developed into a general hardware store.
Apart from a new President the Chamber has a new Council, it is made up of 17 members, who meet on a monthly basis and who are responsible for steering the policies, activities and initiatives of the Chamber.
