Video of Donegal Mountain Rescue Team’s Muckish Mountain Rescue

Video has been released of the helicopter rescue of  Coastal Cancer Challenge Eventer who collapsed with exhaustion after Climbing Muckish at the weekend.
Donegal Mountain Rescue Team tended the casualty and were then assisted by Marshalls to bring the casualty down by stretcher through a steep section.
The Team were then concerned that the casualties vital signs were starting to deteriorate and the Rescue 118 Coastguard helicopter was tasked from Sligo.
DMRT tended the casualty and assisted Rescue 118 to extract the casualty who was flown to Letterkenny Hospital where he is now recovering.
The team work between DMRT, Mountain Marshalls, Garda and Organisers went smoothly during the extraction.
The event was successful and passed without further incident.
