Charity seeks volunteers to sleep rough in Letterkenny

A charity that assists the homeless is looking for 25 volunteers – to sleep rough in Letterkenny.
The North West Simon community is looking for people aged over 18 to participate in its annual charity ‘Street Sleep’ in the town this Friday.
Last year’s event proved a huge success with volunteers braving the elements to spend the night out in the Market Square – with just sleeping bags and cardboard boxes used for mattresses.
The event – which will start at 10 pm and continue overnight – is being run in conjunction with Simon Week which is taking place this week.
Clare McTeirnan is the CEO of the Northwest Simon Community, she is urging people to take part in the street sleep on Friday night…
