Buncrana Town Council is seeking to identify a site for a possible ambulance base in the town following a briefing from the ambulance service this week.
The meeting follows concerns from Cllr Joe Doherty who previously has been critical of the ambulance service, claiming that there isn’t enough cover, particularly since a commitment to have a Rapid Response Vehicle based constantly in the town was scaled back.
However, since this week’s briefing, he says he’s happy that the service is strong in Inishowen, and said further discussions will take place, particularly about the issue of a permanent ambulance base in Buncrana…..
