Coleman captains Ireland in Germany

seamus coleman irelandIn the absence of Robbie Keane, Killybegs Seamus Coleman had the honour of captaining the Republic of Ireland in last nights qualifier in Germany.
The  squad are back in training in Malahide this afternoon  after the 3-nil defeat  in Cologne.
Goals from Sami Khedira, Andre Schürrle  and Mesut Özil  helped Germany to confirm their place at next year’s World Cup in Brazil. S weden’s 2-1 win over Austria meant that they secured the play-off place.
Coleman  said the team was chasing the game after Germany’s lucky opening goal.
