Ireland’s opening 6 Nations weekend has begun in winning fashion.
The women’s side have beaten their Italian counterparts 30-points to 5 in Florence with Donegal’s Nora Stapleton and Larissa Muldoon playing vital roles.
Tom Tierney’s first competitive game in charge saw them outscore Italy by five tries to one.
Stapleton played all of the game while Muldoon was replaced by Tania Rosser with a couple of minutes to go.
Ireland’s next game is against France in Ashbourne next Friday 13th February.
