The priest who said mass at the wedding in Co Fermanagh where two people were shot – one fatally – says there was a sense of tension ‘waiting to explode’ ahead of the ceremony.
It happened outside St Mary’s Catholic Church in Newtownbutler near the border.
The victim was flown to hospital in police helicopter where he later died.
A second man – in his 30’s – received non life threatening injuries.
It is believed that the wedding involved members of the travelling community and that they were not locals.
