Contracts have been signed in Brussels for the BMW Regional Operational Programme, which will see €320 million invested in the region, half of it from the European Regional Development Fund.
The Northern & Western Regional Assembly will manage the Operational Programme.
Minister Brendan Howlin, who signed on behalf of the government said Cohesion Policy has been – and continues to be – a key instrument in addressing economic and social disparities.
The new investment programme will focus on SMEs, with over 5000 new jobs being targetted and a commitment of full broadband access by 2020.
Donegal Councillor Seamus O’Domhnall signed the document as chair of the Northern and Western Regional Assembly……..
