Derry City are through to the quarter-finals of the FAI Cup after a decisive 3-0 win over Drogheda United at the Brandywell.
Patrick McEleney gave the candystripes the lead after just 19 minutes and Letterkenny striker Cillian Morrison bagged his first goal of the campaign on 66 minutes.
Drogheda were still recovering from this set-back when City pounced again with Barry McNamee on target to put the game beyond the reach of the Louth visitors.
This was a welcome distraction from the league for both sides who are still very much in a battle to move away from relegation danger, but at least City now still have cup ambitions as well.
