Councillor Terence Slowey set to become new Cathaoirleach

 

Ardara Councillor Terence Slowey is set to take up the position of Cathaoirleach for Donegal County Council this year alongside his party colleague Cllr Barry O’Neil as Leas Cathoirleach.
Cllr. Slowey would replace current Cathaoirleach, Cllr. Ciaran Brogan.
Speaking to Highland Radio News, Cllr. Slowey could not comment on this position saying it was a matter for the council.
However he did say it was agreed upon that a Fianna Fail Councillor would fill the post last year while a Fine Gael Councillor would take over the role this year.
