Concern raised over Housing Ministers plans to isolate local authorities in tackling housing crisis

A Donegal Senator has raised concerns over the Housing Ministers strategy of side-lining local authorities in a bid to tackle the housing crisis.
Minister Simon Coveney wants to by-pass councils by sending projects straight to An Bord Pleanala for approval while also appointing project managers to oversee house-building projects from beginning to end.
Senator Padraig McLochlainn believes this is not the right move and a mixed approach between the council and private sector would fare better:
