Donegal National Rally – Chairman Brogan out in front

Brian Brogan and Damien Mc Gettigan head the National event of the Joule Donegal Rally at the end of day one.
Brian, Chairman of the Donegal Motorclub, driving an class 14 Escort has a 7.1 second lead over another Donegal crew, Damien Tourish and Domhaill McAleney in a class 13 Escort.
The Toyota Starlet of Declan Gallagher and James McNulty sit a further 1.7 seconds back in third
Jonathan Pringle, Damien Gallagher, David Bogie and Frank Kelly wrap up the top seven.
Further down the leaderboard, James Cullen has come through the first six stages unscathed.
The two time winner is marking the 25th anniversary of the his maiden Donegal win in 1991.
