A man has been remanded on bail following the discovery of a cannabis grow house with an estimated street value of over 70,000 euro in Malin Head.
The Derry Journal is reporting today that Gardai made the discovery at Ballygorman on the 4th July but details are only emerging now.
Super Intendant Eugene McGovern said that after obtaining a search warrant, the final amount of the drug was in the region of 90 cannabis plants with a street value of around 72,000 euro.
Gardai also seized 3,500 euro worth of cultivated cannabis which was ready for distribution.
Juan Fitzpatirck, of Ballygorman, Malin Head was arrested and charged with the alleged possession of cannabis and possession for sale or supply.
Fitzpatrick 44, who is originally from Derry, appeared at a special sitting of Letterkenny District Court on July 5th.
He was remanded on bail to appear at a sitting of Carndonagh District Court on September 20th.
