The council says work is being done in Letterkenny to reduce the potential of any future floods in the town.
Councillor Gerry McMonagle raised the issue at today’s Letterkenny municipal district meeting calling on the local authority to clean all drains in estates which are blocked with leaves and other debris.
Councillor McMonagle was told the work was underway but says there’s little evidence of this on the ground:
