Kilcar set up Ulster Semi-Final meeting with Slaughtneil


Kilcar will take on reigning Derry and Ulster champions Slaughtneil in the Ulster Club Senior Football Championship Semi-Final after a big 10 point win over Scotstown of Monaghan today in the Quarter-Final, in a game that finished 1-16 v 1-06.
It was a game that started well for the Monaghan side, they were 3 points up after 10 minutes, but Kilcar captain Patrick McBrearty scored 7 points in the second half to leave Kilcar 7 points up at the break, after an Owen McHugh goal on 22 minutes, 1-10 v 1-03.
The second half saw Kilcar add to their lead, when Scotstown were unable to break down Kilcar’s defense. Ryan McHugh scored three points in the second half to ensure his side’s victory.
