It’s been claimed that the on-going failure to provide funding to reopen the short-stay ward at Letterkenny University Hospital is down to a case of mismanagement.
An initial funding application was submitted in the summer of 2017 but to date the request remains unanswered.
It is long since anticipated that such a move would alleviate the overcrowding issues facing the hospital.
