HSE urges families to get vaccinated against measles


The HSE is urging families with children and teenagers who haven’t been vaccinated against measles to contact their GP or practice nurse with a view towards doing it now.
They say it’s particularly important if families are going on holiday.
So far this year, 25 people have died from Measles in France, Romania, Greece and Italy, and there are fears that could escalate further.
Dr Cathriona Walshe is a Senior Medical Officer with the HSE in the North West. She says there’s also been an increase in measles cases in Ireland:
