The Ivy Bridge in Cloghan is closed until further notice after the sidewall of the bridge collapsed on Monday.
The Cathaoirleach of the Stranorlar Municipal District says a lack of maintenance has led to the partial collapse of the bridge.
Councillor Patrick McGowan says there is much anger among the local community who have been left cut off as concerns over the state of the bridge’s structure were raised on a number of occasions:
