DCC will not be nominating presidential election candidate

Donegal County council has agreed to not nominate a presidential election candidate.
Local representatives had until 12 midday today to put forward a special motion on the issue but that deadline has since passed.
Peter Casey has just arrived in County House in Lifford this afternoon to speak with local representatives.
Mr Casey has already received four nominations from County Council’s across the country.
He will only be permitted to speak to Councillors outside the Chamber.
