Theresa May isn’t ruling out a hard border on the island of Ireland in the event of a ‘No Deal’ Brexit.
The British Prime Minister was speaking to the BBC ahead of the Conservative Party Conference which get’s underway today.
She said her Chequers plan is the only realistic option on the table and it’s now up to the EU to bring forward proposals of their own in order to negotiate an agreement.
In the event of the UK leaving the EU without a deal, WTO rules would apply – a move which would likely see a hard border introduced.
