The Education Minister says the National Broadband Plan is about fair treatment for all.
Yesterday, it was announced that high speed broadband will be delivered to 1.1 million people across the country over the next seven years as a preferred bidder for the contract is appointed.
Minister Joe McHugh says given the billions spent on projects in Dublin, the €3 billion price tag is of a scale when ensuring those in rural areas are afforded the same as those in urban regions:
