Prospective EU Commissioners named by government

Mairead McGuinness and Andrew McDowell are set to be put forward by the government as candidates for the position for EU Commissioner
Ms McGuinness is a sitting MEP for the Midlands North West constituency, and Vice President of the European Parliament. Mr Mc Dowell is Enda Kenny’s former chief econonomic advisor.
