Ireland’s five day moving average of cases up 89%

The country’s five-day moving average of Covid-19 cases has risen by 89 percent in the past week.

It’s grown to 1,101 after 1,179 new cases were confirmed by the Department of Health yesterday.

The five day moving average of cases in Donegal is 68 while the 14 day incidence rate of the virus in the county is 506.3 cases per 100,000 people, the highest figure in the country.

91 people are being treated in hospitals across the country, while 22 patients were in intensive care.
