All maternity hospitals are to receive new guidance from the HSE today – urging them to further ease restrictions.
It will allow partners to attend 12-week scans and C-sections.
The HSE says all hospitals are compliant with current guidelines, which includes access to 20-week anomaly scans.
But Social Democrats co-leader, Roisin Shortall, says the latest guidance is disappointing and doesn’t go far enough.
