56 projects in Donegal will share an €80,000 donation from SSE Renewables.
The money is being made available through the company’s Meentycat Community Fund which supports energy efficiency, safety and sustainability projects.
Funding has been sanctioned for Covid-19 supports to local schools, local GAA clubs, and other community based organisations and will go towards developing their facilities with energy efficiency and sustainability upgrades as well as social and environmental projects that enable community development.
SSE Renewables has also confirmed that construction of their Lenalea Wind Farm in Donegal, a co-development with partners Coillte Renewable Energy has commenced.
