1,688 new cases of Covid-19 have been reported today in the Republic of Ireland.
314 patients are in hospital with the virus, the highest number seen since March – and 59 people with Covid-19 are currently receiving intensive care treatment in the Republic.
Meanwhile 1,485 cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Northern Ireland today, along with 11 further deaths.
