Unemployment rate 5.5% in March

The monthly unemployment rate for March 2022 was 5.5%, up point 3% from February.

That’s according to a new report from the Central Statistics Office, which says the figure is down 2.2% on the same month last year.

The unemployment rate for women is slightly higher than men, and over 12% of people aged 15 to 24 were out of work in March.
