Buncrana Hearts win Ulster Junior Cup

Buncrana Hearts won the Ulster Junior Cup on Sunday afternoon after a penalty shootout victory over Aileach FC.

The game had finished 3-3 after extra time, Thomas McMonagle opened the scoring for Aileach before Kieran McDaid leveled the game up.

Aaron Nash then fired Aileach infront again and went 3-1 up when Gavin Doherty added to their tally early in the second half.

Bart Wesolowski then reduced the deficit before Kieran McDaid ensured the game would go to extra time.

Neither side could muster up a winner in extra time but it was Buncrana who held their nerves to win 4-1 on penalties.
