The Donegal Sexual Assault Treatment Unit is urging anyone who has been the victim of sexual violence to come forward, promising confidentiality for adults, and a promise that people will be believed.
On today’s Nine til Noon Show, Advanced Nurse Practitioner Connie McGilloway said 78 people sought out the help of the centre last year, 29% down on 2020.
Seven of those who sought help were men, and 23 were children under the age of 18.
