Pope Francis issues message to Creeslough tragedy victims

Pope Francis has issued a papal message to all those affected by the Creeslough tragedy that claimed the lives of ten people.

The message was given to Bishop of Raphoe Alan McGuckian, in which the Pope stated that he was “saddened to learn of the loss of life and destruction caused by the explosion in Creeslough”.

He also expressed “his spiritual closeness to all those suffering in the aftermath of this tragedy”, also stating that “his holiness implores the divine blessings of consolation and healing upon the injured, the displaced and the families coping with the pain of loss”, sending a blessing to all the people of Ireland affected by the tragedy.
