A status orange forest fire warning is in place until Monday afternoon.
The Department of Agriculture says the dry weather recently has created a high-fire risk among dead grasses and shrubs.
The use of fires or barbeques around forests or high risk lands should be avoided, and any visitors to wood land should obey bye-laws.
