5 day walkout strike of government vets in the North begins today

Government vets who carry out checks on animals and food at Northern Ireland’s ports – are beginning a 5 day walkout.

Union bosses are warning it’ll cause disruption – but supermarkets are playing down the risk of product shortages.

The vets carry out checks on animals and some food products entering Northern Ireland from Britain.
