Government is being asked to consider what it feels like to be diagnosed with cancer in counties with the highest death rates in the country.
Independent TD Marian Harkin claims Ireland is performing poorly in relation to many western European countries when it comes to survival rates from cancer, and the west and northwest are the worst.
She wants better funding for the National Cancer Strategy:
