Donegal Senator believes new European Parliament must have farmers’ backs

A Donegal Senator says it is important the new European Parliament has farmers’ backs.

Senator Niall Blaney who is running as a candidate for the Midlands North West Constituency in the upcoming European elections, says what is central to that is the nitrates derogation.

The objective of the Nitrates Directive is to protect water quality from agricultural pollution and promote the use of good farming practices.
