Almost €2.6m in LIS funding announced for Donegal

Donegal is to receive almost €2.6 million in Local Improvement Scheme funding.

It’s part of a €40 million allocation for repairs and improvement works on non-public rural roads and laneways announced today.

An additional €200,000 has been set aside for Donegal’s islands.

The Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys acknowledged that there is a back log in projects across the country:
