Housing estate residents encouraged to form residents association for County Council funding

Those living in housing estates are being encouraged to form a residents association in order to obtain funding from Donegal County Council for maintenance.

Cllr Gary Doherty says that he has received questions on who the responsibility lies with, as in some cases residents pool together for the cutting of grass, while the local Tidy Town groups look after other estates.

He says the level of work involved it establishing a residents association is well worth the funding that is received.

He invited those unsure on how to get started to get in touch with him:
