Former Donegal local election candidate released from prison

A former Donegal local election candidate has been released from prison after failing to pay a Covid fine.

67 year old, Dr Anne McCloskey from Chapel Road, Derry was jailed last Wednesday for the unpaid £255 fine.

According to BBC News NI, having spent two days in Hydebank Prison, Dr McCloskey who is running in the upcoming Westminster election for Foyle was released on Friday.
