The Strabane bypass is closed due to an ongoing security alert.
A suspicious object was found earlier today and police are at the scene.
Local Independent Cllr Jason Barr says it’s his belief that the act was committed in a bid to cause disruption to those wishing to travel to various 12th of July celebrations.
He says he totally condemns what has happened and it is not representative of the wider Strabane community:
