Letterkenny AC’s Teresa McDaid is to be honoured with a Civic Reception from the Donegal County Council for her role in athletics locally and with Ireland at the last two Olympic games.
Teresa was team and operations manager in both Paris and Tokyo and became the first female to manage an Irish Athletics team in major competition.
The motion was brought by Letterkenny Councillor Jimmy Kavanagh and the reception is expected to be held in October.
