People have until tomorrow to have their say on the preferred route option of N56 Falcarragh to Gortahork Road Scheme.
The upgrade works will reduce social exclusion, enhance the accessibility of a low-income rural area, and provide an improved, safer means of transport to and between communities.
Works are to be carried out to improve the route between Falcarragh and Gortahork as the current road geometry has been designated an un-engineered legacy road that is below national standards.
Both road and verge width is below the minimum for national roads, which reduces road safety significantly.
In some sections, the road width is reduced below what is required to accommodate its current capacity.
The scheme will include a walking and cycling facility.
A public consultation on the preferred route option was held on October 16th in Falcarragh.
Tomorrow is the final day for people to submit their views on the proposed development.
